All about us and why balance is important.

About Balance Wealth.

We're all about helping you balance your money.

Balance Wealth started life in 2001 and has gone by a few different names since then. The company was formed by a firm of accountants, who wanted to ensure their clients were getting the best advice about what to do with their money after they had sold their business. Since then, the business was evolved, and is now owned independently.

Our Core Value

Balance

This is something we are always talking to our clients about. Whether it’s balancing the needs of today versus the needs of the future, one persons’ needs with another, helping family versus helping ourselves, or all of these together, the advice we give centres around finding your own balance.

More often than not, we are actively encouraging our clients to spend their money! Once you have a plan in place, and can see what the future could look like, this can provide more confidence about living your life, and spending your money, today.

Meet Danielle Auld,
Financial Adviser / Managing Director

I joined Balance Wealth in 2018 because it was time for a change. Not just for me, but for how wealth management clients get advised.

At Balance Wealth, we don’t chase targets, or build our own funds. Instead, we strictly focus on helping people over age 50 retire on their terms. That’s it.

Everything else—our people, our services, our operations, and our outreach—is shaped by this goal.

Every day, I’m inspired by the experience we’ve created for our clients. While I don’t mind using my degree in financial maths to get down into the operational weeds, my first love is spending time with clients, helping them chart their future, and seeing them achieve the things they’ve always dreamed about.

Career Highlights

  • Spent 5 years advising successful Entrepreneurs before managing the Executives Client group at the most prestigious Private bank in the UK, Coutts & Co.
  • Currently a member of the Financial Advisers Disciplinary Committee (Ministerial Appointment). I have a passion for the industry I work in and in ensuring clients are treated fairly and in accordance with the Code of Conduct.
  • A Director, and Chair of the Risk, Assurance and Finance Committee of Rotorua Airport (Mayoral Appointment). Rotorua Airport was my first experience of Rotorua, and New Zealand when we moved here from the UK. Being able to give back to the community by serving on the airport board is a real privilege for me.

I am also a proud member of the following organisations:
